Our website is a companion to our brick and mortar tea shop in Bethesda, MD where we interact with customers and get their feedback on a daily basis. We hope you find the website to be an interesting source of information about tea and a pleasurable online tea shopping experience.
As a small business, we strive to minimize our operating costs in order to keep our tea prices as fair as possible. We also want to insure that online your privacy is protected and that making a purchase is convenient, safe and secure. Currently, we are utilizing PayPal for shopping cart and payment processing in order to protect all of your financial information. No transaction data is processed or stored on our web server and your information is fully protected throughout the PayPal check-out process.
In the future we hope to add our own secure servers and certified secure payment processing (Which raises website hosting costs). At that time you will be able to log in and create a profile that will be stored under your own personal password that we do not have access to and simply click ‘add to cart’ and proceed to checkout.
Is it safe to order my tea on-line?
Using your credit card to place an online order with Zen Tara Tea is safer than using your credit card in a retail shop or over the phone. This is true primarily because your credit card number is never seen by anyone at Zen Tara Tea. In some cases older internet browsers may not efficiently get you through the processing of an online order. How do you ship orders with the U.S.?
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is our preferred shipper for all domestic orders. If you are unable to receive USPS deliveries, you can contact us at support@zentaratea.com to coordinate a special delivery. Orders over $50 in the U.S. with standard shipping ship FREE.
Do you ship to Canada and internationally?
Zen Tara Tea regularly ships tea orders to Canada. Canadian orders over $75 USD ship for FREE. Shipping for other orders are a flat rate of $6.99 USD for orders up to $50.00 USD, $8.99 USD for orders between $50.01 and $74.99 USD. Please be aware that while we ship all orders within 24 hours of receiving them, delivery times can be slower than normal depending on how fast your order gets through the US/Canada postal service and customs processing centers.
For orders shipping to countries other than the U.S. and Canada, please send an e-mail to support@zentaratea.com. Please include the exact items you are interested in and your shipping address and we can calculate a total amount for your order. Once we e-mail you with an itemized exact total you can call or fax us your billing information. Please do not send your credit card information via e-mail.
What is your return policy?
Zen Tara Tea does everything it can to provide the best teas, tea accessories and services, but if anything is not as you expected, we will accept any returned items within 30 days of your purchase.
