Loose teas offer the flexibility to be able to be brewed for hot or iced tea. While the flavor profile of some types of teas are better for iced teas than others, virtually all of our loose teas can be used to brew iced tea. We have put together a helpful iced tea brewing guide to adjust the brewing time and temperature for different tea types. Making your own iced tea lets you adjust the strength of the flavor, whether you want to use a tea with caffeine or a caffeine-free blend, and control whether to add sugar or not to sweeten your tea.
In addition to our regular selection of loose teas, Zen Tara Tea has partnered with Rishi Tea to offer boxed sets of organic iced tea blends. Each box contains 5 premeasured, oversize tea pouches to be brewed in a pitcher. Brew the tea with hot water in the pitcher, add an equal amount of cold water, sweeten if desired and serve over ice.
