Organic Assam Puthajhora Estate Black Tea

The Assam Valley is located in northeast India approximately 120 miles east of Darjeeling on the border with China, Burma and Bangladesh. The region produces outstanding quality teas. Our single estate Assam tea is a seasonal second flush tea with golden tips. The golden tip lessens the astringent characteristics of the tanins found in black teas. The rich flavor of an Assam tea has a malty aroma, with a slight honey note. It is an excellent morning tea, which can be enhanced with the addition of milk if desired. Assam teas are frequently the base tea or one of the teas used for the classic "Irish Breakfast" blend of black tea.

How To Prepare Your Assam Tea

Heat water to a boil 212˚F and add one rounded teaspoon loose leaf tea per cup (apprx. 8 ounces). Infuse the tea leaves for 3–5 minutes depending on taste preference. Drink plain or with milk and a sweetner if so desired.

INGREDIENTS: Organic black tea. Origin: Puthajhora Estate, India.
