Organic Andaman Chai Tea (caffeine-free)

Traveling east from India and across the Bay of Bengal is the Andaman Sea - warming waters that hug the coastlines of Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. The spices of southeast Asia come together with caffeine-free rooibos and honey bush from South Africa to create an intriguing twist on a traditional chai tea. This exotic chai blend is a nice change of pace chai tea with a more complex flavor profile that can be sipped well into the evening without any caffeine stimulation.

How to Prepare your Andaman Chai Tea

Heat water (filtered if possible) to a boil and let cool slightly before adding one tablespoon of loose tea per cup (apprx. 8 ounces). Infuse for 5-6 minutes depending on taste preference. Tastes best with added milk and sweetner according to your preference.

Want to try a more traditional way of preparing your Andaman Chai? Take 1 tablespoon of loose leaf chai blend, plus a 1/2 cup of milk, 3/4 of cup of water, and 1.5 tablespoons of sweetner and add to a small sauce pan. (For more than one serving multiply the ingredients by the number of servings). Bring the chai and liquids to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for five to six minutes. Strain the heated chai tea into serving cups and enjoy!
